Where can I get signed copies of your books?
My local indie, Sidetrack Bookshop, will always have signed copies of my books; and if you’d like it personalized, all you have to do is put it in the notes!
Will there ever be a sequel to The Ones We Burn / will we get a book about Percy and Galen / etc?
I so appreciate that readers want to spend more time in Ranka's world, but I’m really happy with where Ranka’s story ended. As for Percy and Galen, I don’t have any plans to write a full book about them, but I did write a 7,000 word short story about their adventures post-book that you can find in the paperback!
Do you do school and/or library visits?
Yes! I love connecting with people around writing and story, particularly kids; I was a reluctant reader all through elementary school, and I know how life changing it can be when you find the book that works. If you’re interested in having me visit your school or library, please contact me!
Advice for aspiring writers?
Don’t quit, and read widely. Truly. So much of getting published is just relentlessly writing book after book after book after book, and reading widely (meaning, outside of your genre) will develop your writing in ways you could have never imagined. As a fantasy writer, some of the best improvements in my stories & my craft have come from picking up things that have nothing to do with fantasy.
Favorite Pokémon?
Okay, maybe I don’t get asked this very often. But I wish I did. (It’s Blastoise.)
